She attended Booker T. Washington High School in the Conroe Independent School District. Estherpursued a higher level of education at Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelors and Mastersin Education. She started her teaching career in North Forest and retired from Aldine IndependentSchool District after thirty-seven years of being an educator.At the age of 31, in 1965 she met and married the love of her life in Houston, Texas to George HaroldAustin. To this union of 48 years, two children were born, Frenda Joy Menefee and Harold SethAustin. Esther was a devoted wife, loving mother, most caring grandmother and generous to all.She accepted Christ at an early age in Tamina at Calvary Baptist Church and later joined Greater OakGrove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Jesse H. Jones, Sr., whereshe served on various programs and committees for over 4o years including her love for the SeniorWomen’s Ministry and the Education Committee where presently Pastor D. Earl Lewis is the overseer.Sis. Austin later moved her membership to Praise His Name Church where the Shepherd is PastorHarold J. Menefee.Esther was preceded in death by both parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beller Sr.; her loving husband,George Austin; one (1) sister, Dorothy Washington; three (3) brothers, Fred Beller Jr., LawrenceBeller and Leon Beller.She leaves a lifetime of precious and loving memories to her beloved children, Frenda (Harold M.) andHarold Seth (Thedora); seven grandchildren, Wallace Dale Lightfoot II, Brandon Lightfoot, AlexusAustin, Harold Jr. Austin (Elsiy), Antoin Austin (Aaliyah), Shaundale Lightfoot, Keri’Nesha Williams,Cary Williams and Michael Menefee; two sisters, Gladys Spiller of Bay City, Texas and Geneva Durhamof St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Alex Beller of Conroe, Texas; six great grandchildren and a host ofwonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
