Obituary Mildred Irene Nelson Mason was born on June 10, 1928 in Houston, Texas to the late Herbert P. Nelson and the late Cecile Joseph. Mildred attended Jack Yates High School. She worked for the VA Hospital where she retired after several years of service. She enjoyed traveling, sports and was a member of the Grand Court Order of Calanthe as well as the VA Retirees Club. Mildred accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years. Mildred leaves to cherish her memory her only son, Charles E. Nelson, two sisters Nell Robinson and Helen Jarmon- Dixon, and one brother Edwin C. Joseph, grandchildren, great - grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends
