Hazel Broussard was born on February 21, 1927 to Armand Rubit and Selena Chavis in Beaumont, Texas. Hazel received her primary education in Liberty, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age. Hazel worked as a private sitter. Hazel met and married Howard Broussard, to this union God blessed them with one beautiful daughter and five handsome sons. Her parents Armand and Selena Rubit, her husband Howard Broussard, one son Joseph Broussard, one sister Mildred Roberts, and two brothers Armand and Abraham Rubit preceded her in death. Hazel leaves to cherish her loving memory Romana Broussard, Allen and Karen Broussard, Alfred and Cheryl Broussard, Glenn and Michelle Broussard and Reginald Broussard; two brothers Leroy and Daniel Rubit and three sisters Mable, Bertha and Odia; seventeen (17) grandchildren, (52) fifty-two great grandchildren and (2) two great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of relatives and friends
