Daniel Leonard was born on September 3, 1961 to the late Gus and Florence Leonard in Quitman, Louisiana. Daniel was the ninth child of ten children. He accepted Christ at an early age. He accepted Christ at an early age and had a strong passion for singing in the choir. Daniel loved going to church. He liked dancing, playing bingo, loved to color, enjoyed family gatherings and going out to eat hamburgers. He would be waiting on his sister to pick him up from the nursing home to go riding or spend the night. Daniel loved meeting people because he just was an outgoing person. Daniel liked helping people and was a sharing person. He enjoyed greeting everyone that came through the door of the nursing home, more like a people greeter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Florence Leonard, his brother, Joseph Leonard and his sisters Florence Bryant. He leaves to cherish his memories his two brothers: Henry Leonard (Lucinda) of Lakeview Terrace, CA; Arguster Leonard (Erika) of Numberg, Germany; four sisters, Irene Bryant of Jonesboro, LA; Joan Mitchell, Mary Leonard (Jeffery) and Olive Miles all of Houston, Texas; two aunties, Mattie McConnell (Theodore) of Jonesboro, LA, Minnie O’Burton of Palmdale, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
