Molly Elizabeth Proske, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 12, 2024. She was born on February 8, 1986, in Houston, Texas, to Cindy and Charlie Proske.
Molly's presence brought light and joy to all who knew her. She was known for her big love, warm hugs, and contagious laughter. Molly had a special affection for the beach, where she spent countless hours searching for shark teeth--a skill at which she excelled. Her love of the ocean brought her peace and happiness.
In addition to her passion for the beach, Molly found joy in watching her favorite TV shows, Friends and The Big Bang Theory, each day. She gained comfort and laughter in the familiar antics of her beloved characters. She loved reading John Grisham novels and could not wait to get the next bestseller.
Molly graduated from Westside High School in 2004, and attended Sam Houston State University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She was a member of the St. John Vianney Catholic Church, where she received all of her sacraments.
Molly is survived by her parents, Cindy and Charlie Proske; her sisters, Amy Becker and Sallie Proske, all of Houston, Texas; her grandfather, Carroll Lafitte of Port Arthur, Texas; brother-in-law, Adam Becker of Georgetown, Texas, her niece, Charlie Becker, and nephew, Tiller Becker, whom she cared for and deeply loved. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Vicki and Dib Gay of Lubbock, Texas, and Jim and OJ Proske of Salado, Texas, as well as her cousins, Hillary and DJ Summers of Fulshear, Texas, Rob Stokes of Frisco, Texas, and Jay Paul Proske of Westlake, Texas.
Services for Molly will be held on Thursday, April 18th, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy., Houston, TX 77079. Visitation will be from 4:30-5:30 PM, with services beginning at 5:30 PM.
We are moved by all who have shown our family love and support during this time. Molly will be forever in our hearts and will be immeasurably missed.
