Minnie Evelyn Harrison

Minnie Evelyn Harrison, age 99, was born September 13, 1915 Norfolk, Virginia and went to be with her lord February 2, 2015, while in Trinity, Texas. She was an active homemaker who would "get it done" whatever the job was, working endlessly until all was completed to her satisfaction. Minnie was known to use common sense and solve problems with practical solutions. Her greatest joy was caring for her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a member of River of Life Church for 25 years, and her faith saw her through a long and amazing life. Minnie is survived by her daughters Barbara and Gail Melton, and Shirley Harrison, granchildren: Connie and Frank Fisher, Rhonda and Lonnie Malley, Connard and Sandy Melton, Gary Brinkley, Michael and Rosie Johnson, Richard Johnson, and Jessica Christian great-grandchildren: Danica DeCosto, Marcus and Kelly Wheeler, Dayton and Andrea Wheeler, Franklin Fisher, Ashley and Darla Keith, Morgan Malley, Hannah Malley, Travis Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Jordan Stepanski, Amy Johnson, Connard and Karmen Melton, Kelley and Brock Currie. Minnie also leaves to cherish her memory fourteen great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the Grand Chapel.
