Mary Morley passed away on November 26, 2015 at the age of 85 at her home in Houston, TX. She was born on January 12, 1930 in Adel, GA to Asa L. and Lois M. Day. Mary is survived by her two daughters, three grandchildren, and one great grandson: Edith M. Tingley, her husband Earle, their children Stephen and Jennifer, and Stephen’s son Brodie; Cynthia M. Fluellen, her husband Mark, and their son Shannon and his wife Kristen. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years William M. Morley and her brothers Houston, Asa, and Alan Day.
Mary, known to most as Mim, attended Mount Holyoke College and received a Bachelor of Arts in History. Family and friends were of the utmost importance in her life. Mim supported her daughters scouting and school activities by being an active member of the PTA and also a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop Leader. Once her daughters were grown she spent many years as a member and officer of Memorial Women’s Club enjoying the programs and time with friends new and old. Mim participated in multiple bridge groups, which gave her the opportunity to strengthen her bridge skills and friendships. Mim was an avid reader. She generously contributed to fund her grandchildren’s’ education.
Mim resided happily at The Buckingham for the past six years where she enjoyed an active social life. She considered The Buckingham community as an extended part of her family.
