Miguel Angel Garza, 62, a beloved husband and father of two, passed away on April 16, 2013. He was born in Mexico, lived in Chicago for 6 years to return and marry in Monterrey, Mexico, then moved to Houston in 1978. He loved to travel, never met a stranger while abroad, always helped people in need, enjoyed dancing, completing home improvement projects, watching his favorite soccer team, “Los Tigres”-de Monterrey or movies with his family. Miguel loved his family dearly and always created means to gather them all to celebrate. He made everyone laugh, was in good spirits and the practical jokester with a good sense of humor. Many nieces & nephews saw him as their 2nd father figure. His memories will be forever cherished by his mother, Esperanza; loving wife of 35 years, Irma; children: Anel Maritza Garza & Miguel Angel Garza, Jr.; siblings: Pedro Garza, Rosa Maria Rubio, Marco Antonio Garza, Jose Luis Garza, Hector Garza, Esperanza Garza, Jorge A. Garza; numerous nieces, nephews and his four legged companion, “Cody” the Yorkie that never left his side. A rosary will be recited at 1PM with a Christian Mass at 2PM on Friday, April 19th at Brookside.
