Michael Lloyd Reedy, 74, of Spring, TX, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2023. He was born in Richmond, Virginia on October 1, 1948. Michael graduated from Aberdeen Senior High School and enlisted in the United States Army immediately after graduation. Michael was a proud patriot and faithfully served his country for more than twenty-three years. He attained the rank of Sergeant First Class and for the last twelve years of his career with the Army, he was a Computerized Systems Maintenance Chief. He loved the work he did with the Army and one of his favorite roles was setting up the communication tents for command centers in the field. After his retirement from the Army, he continued working for the Department of Defense, as a contractor, for many years. Michael had a passion for crafting in his later years and routinely made keychains for military personnel, first responders, and many others.
Michael was married to the love of his life, his wife, Linda Reedy. They were happily married for twenty-seven years. He is survived by his children; Angie (Tim) McDonald; Michael Reedy, Jr., Collette Carroll, Ray (Tina) Reedy, and Tony (Holly) Carroll; his grandchildren: Kristen Gaines, Joey Gaines, Braxton Preuitt, Lizzie Reilly, Alyssa Reedy, Aiden Reedy, Crescenzo Reedy, Isabella Reedy, McKenna (Colin) Moss, Lilith Reedy, Sophia Levine, Mary Levine, Rian (Lonnie) Campbell; great-grandchildren Peyton, Oliver, Lainie, Bryson, and Sophia. Michael is also survived by his mother, Joyce Egan; siblings Raymond Carroll, Eric (Anita) Reedy, Diane (Jay) Conarroe, and Lore (Levi) Buzzell.
Michael’s funeral will be held at Brookside Funeral Home – Champion located at 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. Visitation will be Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm and the service will begin at 2:00 pm.
