Michael Anthony Poncio, 78, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on Friday September 2, 2022. He was born in Houston TX on February 28, 1944. He retired from Wyman-Gordon in 2013. He was an active member of the St. Charles Borromeo Men’s Club for many years. He loved to play bingo, go gambling at Coushatta, going fishing and watching the Houston Astros baseball games. But most of all he loved his family and he loved spending time with his grandkids. He was always there for baseball games, choir concerts or any other activities they were in. He was always so very proud of them. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Rose Poncio and his sister Anne Poncio. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Jo; Daughters, Michelle Blankenship and husband Darren and Misty Rumfolo and husband Louis; Grandchildren, Danielle Plummer and husband Cody, Kaylee Blankenship, John Michael Rumfolo and Cody Rumfolo; Brother, Marion Poncio and wife Mary; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Thursday September 8, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday September 9, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Committal Service immediately following. Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home 13102 North Fwy Houston TX 77060. Pallbearers will be Darren Blankenship, Louis Rumfolo, John Michael Rumfolo, Cody Rumfolo, Cody Plummer, Tony Poncio and Phillip Loria. Honorary pallbearers are Marion Poncio and Lee Loria.
