Michael D. Meyers was born March 10, 1994 in Humble, Texas and passed away on January 23, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Michael is survived by his mother Ginger Meyers Dorsey of Marlin, Texas, his brother Marcel Holmes of Aldine, Texas, his grandmother Mary Meyers of Aldine, Texas and numerous and loving aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Meyers Jr.
He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church where he was an alter server in his pre-teen years. He attended MacArthur High school, went six months to San Jancito college earning his GED and certificates in mechanics, attended a year at Lone Star College and lived in Aldine all his life. He began working at 16 to help support himself, his little brother and his grandparents who were raising them. He died while riding his motorcycle to work. He was employed as an assistant manager at Auto Zone Auto Parts. During his short life had also been a Support Manager for Walmart, an employee of Wingstop and of Houston Harris Divison Security company as a Security Officer.
He was a father figure to his younger brother Marcel, teaching him to ride a bike, shave, shoot a gun, work on computers and on cars. He loved to travel to experience new places, loved the beach, his 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8, grilling, Jack Daniels and had taught himself to play a guitar and sing. He is gone way too young, but will be loved, remembered and a part of many hearts forever.
The Funeral service is on January 31, 2020 at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas. It will be a Graveside Service only, private family viewing only.
