Merrill Franklin Bowers

Merrill was born in Houston, Texas on January 21, 1971. He was the youngest of five children, but God brought them a wonderful mother who had five children of her own, so there came to be ten children altogether,10 brothers and sisters. He and his older sister were being raised by their father when our mother and father joined our family of five to live together in Garden Oaks.

Two and half years ago Merrill became ill, but he tried to keep himself healthy. In the end the lord called him home. He will be greatly missed. Our hearts are broken, but we have the promise that we will see him again.

Merrill is survived by his wife Monique Lunsford Bowers, his mother, Jackie Bowers, his children, son Ashton Bowers, and daughter Taylor Bowers and his step daughter Madeline McGourty and step-grandchildren Logan & Emma Lundell, his sisters Willa Renee (Cricket) Brewer, Celeste Pangarakis and husband Gary, Paula Sawnberg and husband Mark, Rhonda Brown and husband Richard, Valerie Waldron and husband Bill, his brother Paul Chris Rau, his nephew Conrad Day Robertson, who he was very close to, and wife Sofia, who he was very close to and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.

Merrill is preceded in death by his father, Jack Day Bowers, his biological mother Connie Stewart Bowers, his brother’s Danial Wayne Miley, Sam Krouse Bowers, Mike Krouse Bowers, niece Abra Delaine Hudgins, nephew, Jordan Pangarakis and brother-in-law, Victor Brewer.

A family only viewing will be held right before service begins.
