Meredith lived a life loving and serving her fellow man as a prayer warrior. She prayed diligently and with the expectation of favorable outcomes.Her faith was very strong. She made many attempts to follow up with the people she prayed for. When she wasn’t praying quietly to herself in early mornings (5am usually) or before going to sleep, she was known to work in her word find books or watch countless dvds in her collection.
She was a member of Abiding Word Lutheran Church for the last 12 years and especially enjoyed her “Jesus Cares” group every other Saturday morning with her roommates Justin and Allison. Meredith lived in a group home out in Spring, TX and enjoyed her work program in Conroe at Bridgewood farms where she had many friends.
She is survived by her maternal aunt Carole and her Husband Mike Heckman of Blue Ridge, Virginia, her brother, Glenn Luke of Ben Wheeler, TX, and his children Ronnie and Brandy Luke of Lindale, TX , Ryan and Zairah Luke of Austin, TX, and niece Sarah Luke Nash and her husband James Nash, and grand niece, Everlee Nash of New Waverly, TX, plus countless friends in the Houston, Katy, Spring, and Conroe areas.
She will be laid to rest along side her family members preceding her in death, brother Timothy Luke, and parents, Bob and Joyce Luke at Forest Park Westheimer immediately following the service.
