Melvin Lawrence Baldridge Sr., born September 25, 1931, in Houston, Texas passed on from this world into the land beyond to be with his Lord and Savior on December 7, 2024. To say that he will be missed is an all-time understatement. He will be sorely missed. He was a devoted and loving husband, a precious father, and a friend to all.
He is survived in life by his wife Mary Baldridge “Teddy Girl” from Salford, England, the love of his life for 67 years, always by his side. They met in England when he was stationed there in the USAF. He is also survived by his four kids Melvin L. Baldridge, Jr., Janis Culp and husband Mayo, Pamela Woodroof and husband Buddy, and Mark J. Baldridge. Also survived by his eight grandchildren Roger K. Larsen, Brandon Perez, Meagan Perez, Lindsay Baldridge, Christie Woodroof, Jeremy Perez, Taylor Baldridge and Tyler Baldridge. Also survived by six great grandchildren Silas Gonzales, Karley Perez, Dakota Medellin, Liam Medellin, Dolf Perez, and Ian Medellin. Melvin also leaves behind many, many nieces and nephews who love him dearly and will miss him greatly.
Melvin was born in Houston, Texas and spent his entire 93 years of life there. He was many things to his family which included a teacher by his own means, a cook, gardener, musician, star athlete, soldier/airman and friend, but the most important role was a faithful servant unto the Lord. He loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. It was his legacy all the way up to the day of his passing. If he were here today, he would say to you, seek the Lord with all your heart and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior so that you can be saved. Eternity is real.
We miss and love you dear husband, dad, pawpaw and friend.
