He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in architecture in 1975. He worked professionally as a commercial architect for 42 years and retired in 2017. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, and fishing. He had countless hobbies which includes golf, crafting knives, models, wine making just to name a few. He was a DIY kind of guy who lived by the motto, "Why buy it when you can build it for twice the price."
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Patricia Stringer. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie and three sons Matthew and wife Holly, Benjamin and Kyle. Also survived by his grandaughters Katalina and Addyson; sister, Rosslyn and husband Dave Nommensen; brothers Charles, Lance, and Neill, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A celebration of life service for Max will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2023 at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas 77055.
