Mau Thi Tran

Mẫu was born on June 5, 1932 in Nga Sơn - Thanh Hoá, Việt Nam, to father Peter - Trần Văn Quyền and mother - Ine- Nguyễn Thị Mun. She was married to Nguyễn Ngọc Chi from Phát Diệm, Việt Nam. With God’s blessing, they had nine children, five sons and four daughters.

Mẫu was a homemaker most of her life, devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a brave, witty, creative and kindhearted woman. Her most favorite enjoyment is time spent with family, especially at holidays. As a devoted catholic, she spent endless hours reading the Bible and prayed rosaries. Mẫu’s love for God also inspired her to make many contributions to churches, seminaries, and those in need of help.

Mẫu was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of 43 years and 5 siblings. She was also predeceased by two sons and a daughter, all at a very young age. Mẫu will be lovingly remembered by her children, Long, Lưu, Bình, Minh, Nga and their spouses, Thuý, her sister Trần Thị Loan, 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, Texas 77095, on Thursday, May 16th and Friday, May 17th from 2:00 PM to

8:30 PM.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 9:00 AM, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6550 Fairbanks North Houston Road Houston, Texas. Thereafter, the family would like to invite everyone to join them for the internment at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
