Mattie Frances Boykin, 90, entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2012 and joined those who preceded her in death, parents: Edo & Ruby Gehrels; husband, Fred Boykin; son, James Boykin; grandson, James “Scott” Boykin; sister, Bertha Young; brothers: Calvin & Felix Gehrels. Her memories will be cherished by her only surviving brother, Herman “Bo Diddle” Gehrels & wife Mildred; numerous nieces & nephews; daughter-in-law, Sandra Wright. Frances was an instructor at DeLynn Beauty College for 15 years. Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Tuesday, October 30th. Funeral service will be at 2PM on Wednesday, October 31st at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
