Mary Patricia Naughton Whipple

Wilmington, Delaware to Patrick and Katherine O'Donnell Naughton. Mary was a devoted member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar Society. She was a lifelong volunteer having served for the Meals on Wheels, nursing homes and as a Scouting Den Mother. Mary is reunited with her husband of 44 years, David Thomas Whipple; parents; two brothers, John and Francis Naughton and one sister, Kathleen Naughton. She is survived by two sons, David Tim Whipple and wife Sharon and Patrick Joseph Whipple and wife Debra; daughter, Katherine Ann Whipple Gamble and husband Mark; brother, James Patrick Naughton; grandchildren, Dustin Whipple, Peter Whipple, Erin Whipple, Jesse Gamble, Justin Jonns, Matt Whipple and wife Jackie, Joshua Jonns and Rachel Gamble; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Jonns, Jack Whipple, Jordan Jonns, Joey Whipple, McKenna Whipple and Emmy Jonns. Mary is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation with Mary will be Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with the Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. All services will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman St., 77018. Mary will be laid to rest at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations may be made in honor of Mary Patricia Naughton Whipple to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
