Mary Ann Townsend

Mary Ann Townsend, 57, passed away early Sunday, July 27, 2014. Mary Ann was born on May 29, 1957, to Arley and Kazmyra Townsend in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Jerry Carter.

Mary Ann was a loving daughter, aunt and friend. She enjoyed pet-sitting for a number of years, but her greatest joy was taking care of her own animals, especially her dog Barkley and her cats Mazzie, Jazzie, Scott and Chance. Mary Ann was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Her life was enriched during the last few years with dear and lasting friendships through Ram Jam.

Mary Ann is survived by her nieces, Karen Armstrong and husband Shannon, and Heather Green and husband Grady. Four great-nieces and nephews include Avery and Loryn Hicks and Carter and Cullen Green, all of Houston. Mary Ann is also survived by many dear cousins and loving neighbors and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 1st at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
