On Wednesday, August 5, 2020 Mary Louise Smith, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, lost her battle with cancer at the age of 68. Mary was born on April 4, 1952 in Woodville, Mississippi to J.V and Audrey Floyd. Mary ended up in Houston, Texas where she had two beautiful daughters and enjoyed working as a document control specialist for 36 years at Air Liquide. She loved her profession and met some of her best friends while she was there. Mary retired at the age of 64.
In 1986, She married Tommy Floyd Smith, who remained at her side till her last days. Raising her grandchildren, Mary was a strong willed women with plenty of room in her heart for everyone. She spent her days "keeping grandchildren and great grandchildren in line". Mary enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, shopping, traveling with her husband, and attending church at Copperfield Baptist Church.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, J.V and Audrey Floyd, Her daughter Angel Guzman, and her Brothers, Thomas, Joseph and William Floyd. She is survived by her husband Tommy Smith, daughter April Gray, step daughter, Gundi Talbert & husband Steve , step-son T.J Smith & Wife Sheila, siblings David & Sue Floyd, Glen & Hazel Floyd, Gloria Hicks, Rene Belinoski and her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
