Mary Joe Smith born July 29, 1923 in Hearne, Texas, passed away September 26, 2010 in Austin, Texas. Mary Joe was a graduate of John H. Reagan High School class of 1940. She is preceded in death by her husband, William G. Smith, Jr.; parents, Philip & Jane Hanna; brothers: Phil, Jr. & Billy; grandson, Shannon Smith. She leaves to cherish her memories: children: Bill Smith, Scott Smith, Sandy Windham & husband Ron, Bob Smith & wife Judy, Becky Lopez & husband Alex; grandchildren: Cari Casey, Travis Windham, Nicole Carter, Yolanda Carter, Ethan Carter. The family will receive friends from 4-8PM on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2PM on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Brookside Chapel of Chimes. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
