Mary Lynn Simmons

Mary Lynn graduated from Direct High School and received many honors. Grandma Lynn, as she was known, worked as an executive secretary for the Margolis family for many years. She had a passion for flowers, especially roses, and birds, especially hummingbirds. She was an artist and painted many oils and watercolors. She loved her pelicans who nested in front of her house each year. She was a wonderful cook and all remember her Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings each year.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Rex and Mamie Pierson, William Simmons, her husband, Siblings, Sue Barnett, Maxine Gibson, Bill Pierson, Jim Bob Pierson, and stepson Philip Simmons.

She is survived by her children, son, James Michael Besser and wife Bridget, daughter, Patti Meyer and husband Jim, and step daughter-in-law Betsy Simmons; eight grandchildren: Tommy Besser (Emily), Staci Henderson (Dustin), Emily Meyer (Joe), Donny Meyer, Mitchell Besser (Jennifer), Allison Besser, Scott Simmons (Kristine), and Keith Simmons (Loretta); nine great grandchildren: Hannah Henderson, Camille Besser, Grace Besser, Noble Besser, Reagan Besser, Garrett Simmons, Austin Simmons, Jacarra Nelson, and Chambray Smith (Zachary); great great grandchildren: Houston Jones and Salem Smith.
