Mary J. Sheppard

Mary Jane Dahl Sheppard-Walker, 61, passed peacefully on March 20, 2016 knowing she was loved very much. She was the daughter of Alice Montgomery and Lt. Colonel John Kenneth Dahl of Long Island, New York, and the loving sister of John Dahl, Robin Caufield, and Ellen Booth, also of Long Island.

Mary was happiest spending time with family, and is survived by her husband and best friend Howard D. Walker, four children Heather Sheppard, John Sheppard, Ryan Sheppard, and Daniel Sheppard, and two stepchildren Richard Walker and Kelly Walker Ludovissie. Mary was blessed with four grandchildren David Aguilar, Lucas Sheppard, Sidney Sheppard, and Cameron Ludovissie, and her godchild Corinne Caufield. She was also devoted to her work, and was employed at Office Systems of Texas for over 20 years under the ownership of George Peckham, who was a very close and trusted friend.

Mary was very grateful for all the love and support that she received from family, friends, colleagues, and the medical staff at The Methodist Hospital Cancer Center. Her loving and giving nature will live on in the hearts that she touched.
