She was a 1972 graduate of MacArthur High School. She married Guadalupe Rubio on December 30, 1974 in Houston, Texas. She worked for the Aldine Independent School District for over 20 years. For those that knew our mother she was a firecracker till the end. Ultimately, God let her know it was time for her to join him in paradise. We weep because we are selfish, and although we know she is in a better place, it still hurts. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to say goodbye. We know one day we will be reunited! We will miss you every day and we know you will watch over us like you have always done.
She is preceded in death by her parents Parfado Flores and Angelina Flores. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Guadalupe “Lupe” Rubio, her son Cruz Rubio (wife Sylvia Ly), her daughters Julie Ann Rubio (Abel “AJ” Salinas), Lorrie Rubio (husband Jose Padilla), Erica Rubio (husband Kaysone “Loc” Chindavong). Her Grandchildren - Waverly Chindavong, Desmond Rubio, Mary Ann Salinas, Maximus Chindavong, Soleil Rubio and numerous brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who felt like family.
