Oh Marylou!  I can’t believe you’re gone.  We had wonderful times!  Our trip to San Ramone for the presentation to Chevron’s Executive Committee is a memory that will last til we are together again.  Joe Tom, Robert, Buddy, you and me. What a team!
You and I were not in contact often,  but my Queen you were always there in my heart!  Until we meet again, yours always, Sir Charles!  Rest in peace.

Mary Lou and I were classmates in the theatre department at Centenary College. I count those days as some of my fondest.  So sad to hear of her passing.

So very sorry for the loss of your dear Mary Lou, such a wonderful and caring person. 
We met over twenty years ago when I took care of her dear kitties, became good friends.  We kept in touch all these years, after she moved back to Texas from Pleasanton.  Will miss her dearly.

I will always remember Mary Lou in this picture for Rivertown Players at Centenary College. She was funny and bright, but a sincere friend.

We were Mary Lou’s neighbors for the last 5 years. We met her on the day we moved in but got to know each other better during the pandemic.  We passed toilet paper and loaves of bread over the fence but never had a chance to visit until the pandemic was over.  She loved my dogs and would come over to hold the puppy when we got her.  

She was the most generous neighbor to us and we miss her dearly.

Mary Lou so sorry to learn of your passing. Glad we talked on April 26 and 27. We have been friends since 1981 ( the Gulf days.). Many great memories, trips and parties. Good times and bad but we were always there for each other.

Charles Dickens said "What greater gift than the love of a cat."  I'd paraphrase that and say that Mary Lou was the greatest gift to all the many kitties she gave a home to through the years.  Her fur babies were all so lucky.  I know Cleo and Phil must be missing her as much as we all are.

I was so lucky to know you.  To be rushed by you in high school, getting to hang out with you at the MLP cast shows and then stay friends for decades afterwards.  My mama Gaynell loved you dearly and you were so good to her.  I sure wish I could hug your neck one last time.   Be at peace sweetie – you lived an inspiring life so well spent, just much too short.  I love you dearly and miss you deeply.

I've only met you Wayne, but Mary Lou talked so much about her nieces and her Grans as she called them, that I feel I know ya'll. 
My heart is broken as I know yours must be.  I hope you find comfort and peace in your memories of her.  Mary Lou was such a unique, amazing, talented, loving person.  I was so lucky to have her as my treasured friend for nearly 50 years.  May her memory be a blessing to us all.

I think, for a time, we were the Four Musketeers. You were a friend unparalleled and irreplaceable.  I'm sure we'll see each other again - with cats galore. Holly Hawkins, Martha Kelley, Mary Lou and Heather Hawkins.

From college buddies to friends in Houston, we shared so much. You were always so giving, to me, the yard man, strangers and to other friends and family. I know you are happy in heaven. Love you. ❤️

We meet 51 years ago this August while moving into our dorm suite. Since that time she has been a treasured friend and sorority sister. So fortunate and blessed to have such great memories from college and beyond.  Love you  suitie!!

I was friends with Mary Lou for 37 years.  I worked with her at Chevron and stayed friends with her until her passing.  She was as a dear friend to me and I will miss her dearly. She love her nieces and adored her grand nieces and grand nephews. Wayne, Lauren, Brandi, and Katie I am truly sorry for your loss.  I know you will miss her as much as I will.  She was always there for me.  I do take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.  Rest in peace sweet friend.
