Mary Ann Reagan returned to her heavenly family on March 8th, 2021. She was born June 9th, 1930 in East Texas and spent most of her early life in Gober and Commerce. She graduated from East Texas State University with a Master in Education and taught school in Brownsboro, Austin and San Antonio until she retired due to her favorite occupation of motherhood. She is survived by two daughters, Reecia Ann Reagan Cornett and Marilyn Rose Reagan White. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to Holly Marie Harris Shepherd, Hope Annelisa Harris, and Mark William White. Mary Ann was proceeded in death by her brother Jimmy Turman. She is survived by his loving wife Joanie Turman. Their parents were James Weslet Turman and Clive Scarborough Turman.
Mary Ann was loved by many lifelong friends including 73 years of friendship with Virginia Adams. Other special relationships included Betty Burson, Judy Vick (cousin) and the Reagan’s family devoted friend Todd Emmerton. We joked that Todd was her favorite child and was her rock.
Mary Ann was a giving, devoted person to all who loved her. She is greatly missed, but we know in God’s arms. Uncle James please take care of mom for us. We will see everyone again one day.
I must say a special thank you to David Shepherd and Connor Hernandez for being a part of mom’s final moments and supporting her granddaughters. Mary Ann loves her family and those who love her family. And yes, I prefer present tense. Love never dies. Just transitions. The Heavens have a special angel in Mary Ann.
