Mary Purcell, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother and sister, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. A native Houstonian, she was born on January 21, 1924 to Nicholas and Florence (Roberts) Gaffney. Mary is lovingly survived by her son Larry E. Purcell and his wife Paula. Also left to cherish her memory are her sister, Theresa Fischer; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Edward Purcell; son James Earl Purcell; sisters, Rose Holmes, Florence Mazzagatti, Florine Purcell, Gertrude Hall; brother, T.J.Gaffney.
