Mary Elizabeth Paull was born on the 25th of November 1928, in Springfield, Missouri to Paul Dallas Gibson and Violet Elizabeth Pletcher Gibson. Mary Elizabeth went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, the 3rd of January 2010, at the age of 81 years following a brief illness. Mary Elizabeth was an accomplished artist, a pianist who played by ear, and a self taught gourmet cook. She was always trying to learn something new, whether it was creating stain glass windows, photography, or piloting a plane. Mary Elizabeth’s favorite thing though was to spend time with family. She adored her daughters, their husbands, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mary Elizabeth had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help out others. She loved the Lord and sought to live by Him.Mary Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Violet Gibson; her sister, Vera Mae Gellenbeck; and her brother, James Gibson. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Tamlyn and Cheryl Lawler both of Katy; sons-in-law, Rick Lawler and Tom Tamlyn; grandchildren, Robert and Patrick Lawler and Rachel, Evan, and Grace Tamlyn; great-grandchildren, Emma and Ryan Lawler; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her long time companion, Mr. Will Jones of La Porte, Texas.Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six until eight o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 6th of January at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.Funeral services are to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 7th of January in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons.
