Maria, or Mary as she was known to many, was a loving Wife, Mother, Tìa, and Grandmother. Her husband, Ladislao “Frank” Muniz, was the love of her life. The two married on June 11th, of 1966. She had a hard time wanting to do anything without him, and surely did not want him to do anything without her. Mary was strong in her Faith to Christ, but she loved Frank just as much. If you ever spent time with them, it was very apparent how strong their bond was.
Mary was the 6th child of 10, so family was very important to her. Mary had 2 children with Frank; Mary Carmen and Ana Elizabeth. Of those 2, there were 5 grandchildren. Big family gatherings were nothing new for Mary and Frank. Mary was a remarkable cook, and loved to entertain. Any and all were welcome at her table, and there was never a shortage of good food and good times. No one went hungry at her table but, you better finish your plate, Mary did not cook a warm meal for it to go to waste.
Mary had a great heart, and was always there if you needed something. She was very active in her Church, and her community. She loved everyone, and she loved her family more. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Juanita and Narciso Sr; her Brothers Richard, Carlos, Jesus, Alfonso, Louis, Narciso (Chicho) Jr., Ascension, and Carlitos. Mary is survived by her Husband, Ladislao “Frank”, Sisters, Socorro Hardy and Consuelo Serna; Children, Mary Carmen and Ana Elizabeth; Grandchildren, Robert Sr (his girlfriend Courtney), Ashley (her husband Benny), Jacob, Jason, and Joshua; and Great-Grandchildren, Robert Jr, and Penelope.
Whether you knew her as Maria, Mary, Tia, or Memaw, she is very well loved and will always have a special place in our hearts.
