Mary-Jo Canale, age 61, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. She was born on January 15, 1962 in Ithaca, New York to her parents Robert and Yvette Gombash.
Mary-Jo Canale was a mother, sister and friend. She is survived by her one beloved son, Tyler Canale, her four sisters, Victoria Gustafson, Joanne Watson, Tammy Bryant and Gay Huddle, as well as many other family members, and dear friends who are too many to name.
She lived with her rescued stray cat named Missy-Moo who was Mary-Jo’s loyal companion. She spent many years as an X-ray technician, mentor and teacher. She later worked at local hospitals and clinics as an ultrasound technician and really loved her most recent work doing 3D imaging of babies. She was fun loving and loved spending time with friends.
Mary-Jo’s greatest love was her son Tyler, of whom she was always proud. She will be missed.
A Memorial Service for Mary-Jo will be held on Thursday, July 6th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral Home, 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77081.
