Mary Ann Eves

Mary Ann Eves was born November 1, 1947 to Elijah and Neulen Bowman Cash in Hamilton, Ohio. Mary attended grade school and Aiken High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and went to Miami University College of Education, Health and Society in Oxford, Ohio and majored in Nursing and became a Registered LV Nurse. Mary was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist congregation.

Mary worked at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and paved the way for many black nurses during that time. Shortly after, Mary married her High School sweetheart Lawrence E. Eves Sr. in 1967 and 2 years later welcomed a daughter Josette M. Eves. In 1971, they also welcomed a son Lawrence E. Eves Jr. Sometime later they moved to Houston, Texas where she worked several nursing jobs. Mary worked at Treemont Nursing home until she retired after 40 years.

On July 25, 2022, God called Mary’s loving soul home. She leaves behind her faithful husband Lawrence Eves Sr., her daughter Josette Williams, son Lawrence (Rhonda) and granddaughter Jhanae E. Eves, and a host of relatives.
