Mary Ellen Clayton

Mary Ellen Clayton was born in Caldwell, Texas on October 29, 1931. She passed away on August 28, 2023 at the age of 91 years old. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a woman of God and loved to teach the Bible. Mary Ellen was a mentor to many and touched countless lives. Mary Ellen’s servant’s heart and strong support of her husband impacted their ministry for the Kingdom of God. They truly were a team.

Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her Parents: Johnny Zigler and Billie Maurine Ramsey; Brother: Johnny Zigler Ramsey, Jr.; Sisters: Lois Elaine Van Wart and Carolyn Maurine Ferguson; Sons: Harold Dean Clayton, Jr. and Darryl Samford Clayton. Left to cherish her loving memory, her loving husband of 72 years, Harold Dean Clayton, Sr.; Daughters: Caren Erwin, Christy Cousineau and husband Robert Cousineau; Grandchildren: Kevin Shannon, Clay Bolletino, Candace Hoelscher, Sterling Clayton, Kyle Erwin; Great-Grandchildren: Maci Bolletino, Carter Bolletino, Tobey Clayton, Ramsey Hoelscher, Kennedy Hoelscher; many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Southwinds Baptist Church in Tomball, Texas beginning at 11:00 am. Interment to follow immediately after the funeral service in Brookside Memorial Park.
