Mary Ellen Brashear, 88, was born in Monticello, Illinois on October 28, 1928 to William Henry Tieman and Essie Pearl DeHart Tieman. She passed into life eternal on March 24, 2017. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 46 years, Ruby Brashear; children: Aleeta Ellen Bureau & Patrick, Kevin Brashear & Vernadine, Debra Martinez & Juan, Mark Brashear & Diane, and Steven Spitler; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathy Crawford and son Greg Brashear, one sister and five brothers.
The family will welcome family and friends for visitation on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 5:00p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, with the interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
