Mary Jo Blanton, 77, passed away on July 12, 2017 in Houston, Texas. She was born April 18, 1940. Mary is preceded in death by her father: Robert P. Gibbons; brother: Robert J. Gibbons; daughter: Thelma L. Blanton; mother: Mary Gibbons; and husband: Joe L. Blanton. Left to cherish her memory, son: Joe Alvin Blanton; brothers: Paul Gibbons, David Gibbons, and Jerry Gibbons; grandchildren: Chad Bishop and Lee Bishop; great grandchildren: Laney Helm, Kaytlen Bishop, Valaurie Bishop, and Chandeleur Bishop. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 11am-3pm in the Small Chapel of Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 N. Freeway Houston, Texas 77022.
