Mary Ann was the beloved wife of Joe Dibello, the loving mother of Joanne Bauarschi and husband, Ray, and John Dibello, who predeceased her in 2017, and the devoted grandmother of Nicole Garza and husband, Jacob, and Andrew Dibello.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie Collura and by her sister Josephine DeForke. She is survived by her sisters, Lucille Adams and Camilla Kopesky.
On April 24, 1955, she married her handsome U.S. Navy Sailor, Joe Dibello. Their wedding was planned in record-breaking time, one month. Together, they built a family welcoming two adopted children and later grandchildren.
Mary Ann and Joe were devoted to each other for 69 wonderful years. They enjoyed doing many things together. Some of their favorites included crabbing, dancing, gardening, cooking, and card games. Many have witnessed them stealing kisses or hugging each other throughout the years. Their loving marriage was admired by all who knew them.
Mary Ann was a hard worker and a doer. She made many women look and feel beautiful with her hairdressing skills. She never shied away from a project whether it was her own or for someone else. She enjoyed mowing the lawn, sewing, helping with St. Joseph tables, painting rooms, and decorating. Joe often came home from work to what felt like a different house. Once when he was fishing she and her sister even knocked down a wall at their bay house!
Mary Ann had a strong sense of faith and practiced Catholicism throughout her life. She proudly served in the Catholic church for many years.
Her family sincerely appreciates the caregivers at Autumn Springs Tranquility Personal Care Home and her nurses at HCA Houston Hospice for the dedicated love and care they provided Mary Ann in her final few months.
