Mary Louise Aguilar

Mary Louise Mendez Aguilar, 83, born on August 25, 1939 in Shiner, Texas. Mrs. Aguilar passed away September 21, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. Mary was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Mary and her husband Manuel raised 4 children that she loved more than anything. When those kids had kids she found a whole new level of love and was always there for any and everything. Mary had a wide variety of pleasures in all her years; some of the greatest memories were going to and being the life of all family parties, teaching her grand daughters how to sew crafts, playing bingo at church, traveling to casinos, being famous in the gameroom circuit, and just putting a smile on anyone's face who is around her.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Elena; her husband of 48 years, Manuel M. Aguilar Sr; sister, Carmen; brothers, Andrew, Daniel, Guadalupe and Manuel; granddaughters, Diana and Tiffany.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Helen (Gilbert Diaz), sons, Manuel Jr (Yolanda), Joey (Nancy), and Robert (Gina); brother, Ernest (Emily), Grandchildren; Erica (Jeremy Davis), Alexandria (DeAndre Johnson), Raymond (Sherri), Johnny (Jenna), Joey Jr., Alonzo, Cameron, Elise, and Grace; great grandchildren, Kaylie, Aubrey, Sophia, Elijah, Eliana, and Liliana.

There was never a dull moment in Mary's life. It was always filled with people that Mary loved and people who loved her.

The Aguilar family truly appreciates all the love and support of family near and far. It has been a blessing to see all the people who loved Mary come together at this time to celebrate her life, and send her off to be with the Lord knowing that although we may not have always shown it but she touched so many peoples lives and we all thank and love her for that.

A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, September 26, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A rosary will occur Monday, September 26, 2022 at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will occur Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5102 Dabney St, Houston, TX 77026. A committal service will occur Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
