His journey began on July 31, 1971, when God graced the world with the presence of his Boy Angel, Marvin. He was the second son born to the union of Phillis and Milton Keith Sr. of Houston, Texas. His proud and loving parents raised him to love God, respect others, and cherish his relationships. Marvin surpassed their expectations and was truly a kind and gentle gift to everyone who knew him.
In his early life, Marvin attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Studewood, Texas. He was enrolled at Epps Island Elementary School, Wunderlich Intermediate School, and was a proud graduate of Klein Forest High School. He participated in the musical band, playing the saxophone, prior to graduating. Marvin spent his weekends/summer breaks with his brother and cousins attending The Boys and Girls Club of Houston. He also obtained his first part-time job working with Randall’s grocery store prior to enrolling into college.
Marvin pursued higher education at Texas Southern University and North Harris Community College. He majored in Medical Billing and Coding and acquired a degree in Accounting. He also attended truck driving school and obtained his Commercial Driver’s License(CDL). Marvin was highly educated and utilized his knowledge and skill set with companies such as Professional Key Punches (where he worked alongside his mother using his accounting skills to manage books for Weight Watchers), Compact Computer, Harris County Tollway Authority, LMC Cement Company, and was currently employed with Conroe Independent School District.
During his sophomore year of college, Marvin met the love of his life Felicia. After a short courtship, the two became one and joined in holy matrimony in 1995. To this union, their family of two became three with the birth of their first-born son Marvin Jr. The inseparable three became the fabulous four with the birth of their daughter Princess Mariah Keith, and many years later the fabulous four became the fantastic five with the birth of their last son Chance. Marvin adored his wife and kids. His family was absolutely everything to him. Despite his sickness, he continued to provide and handle the affairs of his household because they were his world. Marvin enjoyed early morning church services at Fallbrook Church with his family, fishing trips with his boys, and was a trophy award winning domino player.
Marvin was a great man with an infectious smile that will light up a room. He loved beyond words, never held grudges, never offended, or took offense to the actions of others. He carried himself like the true man that he was, and always stepped in to help his family and friends. He was a pro fisherman, a grill master on the pit, and trouble on the domino table. He has award winning tournament and showcase trophies in his home on display.
In the absence of his body Marvin has reunited with his niece, Kayla Renee (Sloan) Keith, and grandparents, Alice and Roger Jarmon, to continue their endless celebration of life.
Marvin leaves to cherish his precious and loving memories to his beautiful wife Felicia Keith, two sons Marvin Keith Jr. & Chance Keith, only daughter Princess Mariah Keith, parents Phillis and Milton Keith, grandparents Leola and Cleve Harris, Jr., brother Milton Keith, unbreakable bond nieces Tanquita Bowdry (Twinky) & (Tweety) Monique Watson, sister-cousin Belinda LeDay, Jarmon “fishing crew” cousins, best friend Christopher Andrus, his honorable nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of family and friends to carry on his legacy.
