Marva Nell (Marvy) was born August 14, 1952, in Crockett, Texas to the late Superintendent Noble Cooper Sr. and Missionary Dorphine-Byrd Cooper, she was the fourth child of eleven children from this union, her older brother Noble Lee Cooper (NL) precedes her in death.
She graduated from Ralph Bunch High school in Crockett, Texas and went on to attended Paul Quinn College in Waco Texas. She moved to Los Angeles California in the 70’s and married her high school sweetheart, Herman Ware Jr. who precedes her in death. Years later she met Lonnie Jones, they shared a life together for over 25 years, they both moved to Texas in 1999 to assist in the care of her parents.
While living in California she pursued her degree in childhood education and worked for the state for several years and later worked for the United States Postal Service in California. To care for her parents, she transferred to USPS in Texas totaling 30 years of federal service until her retirement in 2017.
When she returned to Texas, she united with Galilee C.O.G.I.C. under her late father and continued under Superintendent Terry L. Cooper. She devoted her nights to Monday Night Prayer service always being the first on the line. She often looked after the sick traveling extensively even crossing state lines, to sit by someone’s bedside. Her father always said “Marvy you will be my little missionary!” and she lived up to that.
She enjoyed life, traveling and all the great times spent with family and friends. She visited several states and countries throughout the world such as Hawaii, Cancun, Italy, Japan, Paris and many more. She also loved to stay home and relax while watching Lifetime and the Hallmark channel.
Marva had an inherit love for her family, friends, and even strangers. She often said she was born to serve others and demonstrated this every day in the way she showed love and supported the needs of others.
Marva was a light that shined very bright for all of us to see.
She leaves a lifetime of memories to be treasured by her three children, Tara Ware, Hermine-Ware Roberts (Eric), and Marvin Ware. Nine grandchildren, Tyree Ware, Rodrique Brookins, Alivia Ware, Aaliyah Ware, Ashlyn Roberts, Addisyn Roberts, Eric Jr. (EJ) Roberts, Malcom Ware and Quran Ware. Nine siblings, Bettye Henderson (Haywood), Noble Cooper Jr. (Jennifer), Perry Cooper (Joyce), Deather Cooper- Durden (late Anthony), Terry Cooper (Barbara), Cheryl Johnson (Ron), Carl Cooper, Dorothy Woodard (Lawrence) and Christopher Cooper (Jennifer). She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will forever treasure her memories.
She also had special ladies who were a very important part of her life, Revoydor, Patricia, Erica, Demetria, Sharon and Clara.
