Martin was born November 02, 1942 in Athens, Alabama to Martin and Belva Harrison. After completing his education in Houston, Texas, he served four years in the Untied States Air Force. Upon leaving the Air Force, he worked at NASA in communications. A change into a new career eventually led to the founding if his company, Universal Alloy Valve & Fitting Company in November 1970 of which he was still operating.
On October 29, 1966, he married Carolyn Lois Harrison. They raised one son Arron Lee Harrison. Martin had a passion for hunting and fishing which included adventures from Texas to Canada, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, and more. He was a life time member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
He was preceded in death by his father Martin, mother Belve, and brother Jerry David. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Carolyn and son Arron, his sister Wanda and nephew Mickey.
There will be a funeral service and committal service to be held for family and friends on Wednesday the 30th of September, 2020 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX, 77079. We ask that you all wear casual attire.
Serving as pallbearers are Donnie Hughes, Jim Campbell, Adam Campbell, Homer Vasquez, Romel Vasquez and Chris Vasquez.
