Martha Mendez Villafranca

Martha Mendez Villafranca, 62 of Channelview, Texas was born February 17, 1961 in Houston, Texas to Lorenzo V. and Maria Guadalupe (Medina) Mendez and passed away at her home on Monday, August 7, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was a sweet, kind hearted lady, who was the life of any gathering or party. She enjoyed being with family and friends, cooking, barbecuing, going to the beach or her home.

She is survived by her mother, Maria Guadalupe Mendez, her 3 children, Monica Villafranca; Efrain Villafranca, Patricia Zepeda, and Eric Villafranca and wife, Louisa; grandchildren, Efrain Villafranca, III., Kaylee Villafranca, Frank Olivares, Anthony Olivares, Eric Villafranca, Jr., Cecelia Villafranca and Liliana Rivera; along with brothers, Jaime Mendez and wife, Nuvia; Robert Mendez and wife, Juanita and Angel Mendez and wife, Isabell; sisters, Margaret Mendez, Rosemary Mendez, Elizabeth Mendez, Rachel Munoz and Ann Marie Mendez Lava. She is preceded in death by her father, Lorenzo V. Mendez, brother, Lorenzo V. Mendez, Jr. and daughter, Michelle Villafranca.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Funeraria Del Angel-Crespo (4136 Broadway, Houston TX 77087) with burial following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 12:00pm. Visitation will be Monday afternoon from 1:00pm until 8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm at the funeral home.

A visitation for Martha will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A committal will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home & Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
