Martha Leticia Cumpian, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother of Houston, TX, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the age of 55. She was born on October 1, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas.
Martha is preceded in death by her father, Bernardino Rocha, and is survived by her mother, San Juana Rocha; former husband, Moises Cumpian Jr.; children, Orlando and Crystal Cumpian; granddaughter, Aaliyah Cumpian; and siblings, Patricia Cardenas, Pete Rocha, Joe Rocha, Maricela Lopez-Ruiz, Janie R. Lopez; and Friend for life, Sergei Patoka.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Forest Park Lawndale on Wednesday, July 24, at 6:30 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 4 PM.
Martha dedicated herself as Division Manager at the City of Houston in the Public Works Department.
Martha was known for her intelligence and grace. She delighted her loved ones with her flavorful cooking, preparing feasts that brought joy to family and friends. She cherished traveling, with fond memories of the Bahamas and Costa Rica. In her leisure time, Martha enjoyed the company of loved ones and listening to 80’s music.
Martha held special nicknames in the hearts of her family: "Momz" by her son, "Lil Pa Pops" by her daughter, and "Mamom" by her granddaughter. Her birthday coincided with her daughter Crystal's, and her son Orlando's birthday was just four days earlier. Her granddaughters is October 22 the same day as her father's and Moises Cumpian Jr October 31st. October was an eventful month for the Cumpians.
Martha will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
