Marshall Lafatte (M.L.) Welch, 85, of Houston, Texas passed away on June 11, 2023. He was born in Rockwall, Texas on October 4, 1937, to Ardle Lafatte Welch and Ava Marie Barnes Welch. M.L. is preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Ray Welch, and wife Elizabeth “Liz” Niette Welch.
He is survived by his daughter Marsha Brumley and husband Chris, son Rodney Welch, step-son Allan Flores and Norma Werbiski, step-son Greg Flores and Delinda Ziegler, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid fan of professional football and baseball, and especially loved spending time with family and friends.
A visitation for Marshall will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd., Houston, Texas 77008. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 12:00 PM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Community, 3600 Brinkman St, Houston, Texas 77018. Committal service will follow at Brookside Cemetery, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, Texas 77039.
