My deepest condolences to the family. My dad Onoray Davis and Mr. Garrett was good friends. My dad always  told me a lots of stories about the donut gang. RIH Itchy.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family for your loss. Mr. 'Itchy" as we called him has been more than a pillar in the Riverwood community but has served as a dear friend to our parents, a support system in the time of need and great loss, as well as a joy to us all.  As he passed down the street, he always found the time to stop and speak to you to see how you and the family were doing.  It was just a few short weeks ago that I found so much joy in talking with him as well as watching him be highlighted with others on ABC 13.  As the community has changed and our parents on Standing Oaks have gained their heavenly wings, I always took pleasure in seeing people like Mr. Garrett to remind me of my childhood and if for a moment the feeling of being back home. He was such a kind and giving man, filled with laughter, and a constant friend to my Dad, especially after losing my Mom; whether it was dropping off watermelon or simply saying "tell Lucious, Hello." We all loved him in the community and he will be dearly missed. 

There was a time Mr. Itchy had been given a bag of frozen crabs.  His wife Myrna was preparing to cook a gumbo.  Itchy left the hot water running on the crabs as he stepped outside.  The crabs began to crawl out of the kitchen sink and we were screaming for him to come.  He laugh at me so because I had never seen frozen crabs come back to life.  I spent many days in their beautiful home and his family became my family.  Mr. Itchy was a good friend to my father and brought him Shipley's whenever asked.  He was our neighbor and loved by many in Riverwood Estates First Edition.  He'll be missed. RIP.
