Mark Levesque Taylor

Mark Levesque Taylor, MD was born on August 21, 1977 in Boston, Massachusetts. Mark grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut with his mother, grandmother, adopted father, and sister. Throughout his school years, he made lifelong connections with friends who became more like family.

Mark always wanted to be a doctor. In his early years, he kept his mother on her toes with his antics, but with the love and support of family and friends, he was able to turn his full attention to achieve his goal of being a physician.

Mark worked tirelessly in his studies, first graduating with a BA in Psychology from University of Connecticut, and then continuing on to the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine, where he earned his M.D. He matched into a family medicine internship in Ohio and later transferred to a psychiatry residency in Louisiana. During his medical training, he met colleagues who would become like brothers and sisters to him, as well as meeting his wife. His passion for learning drove him to pursue further certification as a medical review officer, board certification in addiction medicine and obesity medicine, and licensure as an addiction counselor. He even completed a Master’s Degree in Psychology and was starting a PhD program.

Mark’s greatest prides in life were his medical career and his son. He will be remembered as a wonderful friend and dedicated psychiatrist with one of the best senses of humor that this world has ever known.

Visitation begins at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Chapel of Eternal Peace, Westheimer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Mark’s memory.
