Mark Anthony Ringo was born on October 2, 1948 to Indiana Ringo and Lee Fletcher in Houston, Texas. He grew up with his 3 younger siblings: Peter, Reginald, and Cheryl Ringo. Mark attended Frances Harper Elementary School and Booker T. Washington Junior/High School in Houston, Texas. In high school, Mark was well known as an all-star athlete on the basketball and football fields. After graduating high school, Mark attended Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas. Then later moved on to attend Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, California; where he continued to excel as a student athlete. Mark was with his first wife, Frankie Moore and to this union one child was born, Michael Anthony. Later he united with Debra McNeal and to this union two children were born, Erin Nicole and Cortney Lauren. He worked for the Southern California Gas Company for over 20 years as a mechanic. Later he became a Metro bus driver for the Metropolitan Transit Authority in Houston, Texas. Upon retirement and throughout his lifetime, Mark enjoyed watching ball games, gardening, and cooking. Mark had 8 grandchildren: Andre, Dominic, Avery, Isaiah, Gwenevere, Penelope, Alanis, and Quest. He was also great-grandfather to Trevor Alexander. When Mark departed this life, he was proceeded in death by: his father, Lee Fletcher, brother, Reginald Ringo, and first wife, Frankie Moore. He is survived by: his mother, Indiana Ringo, siblings Peter and Cheryl, children: Michael, Erin, and Cortney, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately called him Grandpa Mark. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends and family who love him dearly. Rather than mourn the death of Mark Ringo, we celebrate the life he lived and the many blessings God bestowed upon him throughout that life.
