At an early age, Margie began working as a secretary for Brown & Root, where her grace and intuition impacted and affected business leaders for decades. During that time, Margie married Gene Tankersley on June 21, 1950 and had two children, Jack and Jan. Once her children were of school age, she changed her line of work to serving Houston ISD where she worked as a secretary utilizing her talents of sewing to the benefit of her principal for many years. After leaving the district, she then went on to work for Western Gear Corporation where she ultimately retired.
Margie’s love for sewing and cooking is what resonates most with those who knew her, as she showed her love through these talents. She was by far the best seamstress and cook and her hands and heart were always busy either baking or sewing for her loved ones and friends.
Margie’s legacy is the way she loved and gave selflessly to everyone. She truly was a beautiful inside as she was on the outside. Her soul was as loving and giving as you could ever know. Her earthly presence will be missed dearly by those she surrounded herself with.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan and son in law Randy Koshnick; her grandchildren, Clint Koshnick and his wife Erin, Caleigh Cordia and her husband Zach; along with three great grandchildren, Carter Koshnick, Kennedy and Cooper Cordia. She is also survived by her sister, Betty and her brother in law, Woody Rochelle, and sister in law Betty Reo, along with nieces, nephews and scores of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, son and her brother, Douglas Reo. Whom all she loved dearly.
