On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, God called His angel Maritza Vazquez home. On November 19, 2007, Maritza was born to bless Fred, Leilany and make Angelique a big sister. She brought love, laughter, compassion and humor to everyone, everywhere. Always smiling, happy and full of energy. She grew up to love God, family, softball and avocados.
As a Sophomore at Baytown’s Goose Creek Memorial High School, she played softball and volleyball. She excelled in grades; even earning a trip to Washington, D.C. to compete nationally for the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE). You could hear her laughs echo throughout the halls before you actually saw her!
She began attending Faith Family Church in Baytown where her knowledge of God grew. Her heart filled with the words of Christ and an already special girl blossomed into a God loving young lady.
But just as we were watching her mature, God realized that he needed his angel back. We’re sad but not mad and understand how special Maritza was. We were all blessed with an angel for over 16 years. And now she will reunite and rest with her “Wuelita” Maria de la Luz and many others.
Family, friends, and others are asked to join us as we honor and celebrate the life of Maritza Vazquez. We will view, pray and lay her to rest: Saturday, April 20, 2024, Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale
