Mario "La Tripa" Salazar was born on March 5, 1931 and was raised in 2nd Ward, Texas. He passed away on September 7, 2012. Mario is preceded in death by his father, Luciano Salazar, his mother, Petranila, his brother, Luciano Jr, and his sister, Alice Luna.Mario is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ernestine C. Salazar; son Alexander Salazar and his wife, Sonia; daughter Dolores Barber and her husband, David; son Alfred Lopez; Step-son Albert Arredondo; Step-daughter Alice Arredondo; son Mario Salazar; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Martinez and brother-in-law Jesse, and Carmen Nash; and countless other family and friends.
At the time he passed away, Mario was retired from A & E Products. He loved to work, he loved to hunt and fish, and above all he loved his family. He was always willing to help out anyone who was in need.
