Mario was born to Romauldo Martinez Ponce and Basilia Dominguez Yanez, September 13, 1945, in Nuevo Morelos, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He lived with his partner Salvadora Rogel Segovia for 40 years and they lived together in Pasadena, Texas. Together they raised his step children Maria Segovia-Ayala and Edgar F. Segovia.
He is survived by his partner Salvadora Rogel Segovia, step-daughter Maria Segovia-Ayala her spouse Roberto Ayala, step-son Edgar F. Segovia his wife Ruth Barrera. He also leaves to cherish his memory 4 grandchildren Boris Segovia, Ellie Ayala, Isaiah Ayala, and Josiah Ayala also his nephew Ramiro Perez.
Mario worked for Walmart for 21 years. [He enjoyed walking at the park, listening to music, playing the lotto, and going to the flea market with his grandson on the weekends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM in the Colonial Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.
