

Born on February 4th, 1943 in San Carlos, Texas to parents Heraclio Flores and Luz Acosta, he spent his early years and received his education in Edinburg, Texas. He met his late wife, Maria Dolores Ramirez Mendoza, and married on June 6th, 1979 at the Carmelite Sisters Missionary in Houston, Texas. He was a member of the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church Parish.
Mario Flores was an avid hunter and fisherman, jumping at every opportunity that came his way. Mario Flores was a jack of all trades but found a deep interest in cars and mechanics. He never backed down from a challenge and didn’t believe in quitting.
Mario Flores is survived by his two daughters, Zenaida Vasquez and Anna M. Coronado; nine sons, Jose Duval Flores, Heraclio Flores, Mario Flores Jr., Daniel Flores, Fernando Flores, Felipe Flores, Mario Alberto Flores, Juan Carlos Flores, and Osbaldo Flores. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his late wife, Maria Dolores Flores; his mother, Luz Acosta; his brothers, Rogelio and Ramiro Garza; and sister, Elizabeth Handy.
